Hello everyone!
I can't believe November is already here!!! I finally got around to putting up the move-in pictures. (Please keep in mind that they were all taken while we were moving in -- they're pretty messy!)
We are all doing well. The girls were all pretty sick with what seemed to be three different things last week. Grandpa & Grandma Price came this weekend and we got to see Matt's cousin Dee. It was really nice to take a break and see them, but hard to know we had SO much catching up to do.
Laney goes to the hospital for testing Nov. 20. We are not sure what all is involved, but most likely they will stick a tube through her skin to test for the suspected bone disorder. Then we'll head to Chicago again that week for Thanksgiving. We are looking forward to it! The girls have been counting down the days to see their cousins and family since September. Also, Emma asks almost daily how far away Christmas is; not because she's looking forward to Santa, but to her friends and her "owned house".
Thank you to those who have lifted us up! Please petition that we will get the most out of our schooling, that we will clearly discern where we're led in the myriad of opportunities to serve, and most importantly that we will lean on and grow in Truth as we go through the trials and stresses of being here. We continue to meet great people, discover impacting truths, and hear about dynamic, often heart-wrenching, needs to be filled. It is exciting but overwhelming!
We are currently weighing whether we should head to the Philippines this summer to help Steve and Jen Hagen in their new location in Bicol. We would love to visit, get a feel for what they do, help practically, and be an encouragement to them; however, there are some pretty major considerations. It would take thousands of dollars each. Should we leave the girls? Which ones? With who? Can we afford to cut into the short time Matt could work? How long should we stay? Obviously, it's another thing that's pretty up in the air right now, but we'd really like to let Steve & Jen know and look for flights if needed ASAP... another request for guidance in this area.
We continue to pr@y for you, as well. It is amazing that the amount of time spent thinking of you has not lessened; rather, we think about your struggles, your lives, and the things we love about you just as much as when we first left -- plus we can't wait to share the things we've learned!
