Hey Guys --

We wanted to share some of the excitement from this last very exhausting but encouraging week. We had a lot going on in classes, with at least a test or a paper every day, and we are getting a lot of information thrown at us since we are wrapping up another block this Friday (3 large tests that day and several more papers/ projects this week!) I take Laney back to the hospital for testing all day tomorrow to find out why she has the low bone density and whether it is deteriorating. I also need to squeeze in an eye doctor's appointment, as she appears to have a lazy eye or some sort of focusing problem. Her Dr. recommended an opthamologist through children's hospital, but it is VERY pricey and we wanted to see a regular eye doctor first anyway and go from there...

Anyway, the main excitement of our week was a conference we put on with friends Jon and Joy for the children at CCM. It was so fantastic! Although preparing for it combined with our classwork, etc. meant I got no more than 4 hours of sleep per night all week, it was SO worth it. They were largely enthusiastic and they are all very smart and most are mission minded, but we had the privilege of challenging them, encouraging them, and just plain having fun with them, too...
