Remember Catty, our huge caterpillar/ caccoon? We were surprised to hear noises coming from his container one night -- and even more surprised that he had hatched into a big, fuzzy moth! Above, Chloe is examining him -- if you look closely, you can see him in on the left side, above the leaf.
We rushed to set him free, eventually nestling him in the inner branches of an evergreen. Emmy wasn't so sure about him. As much as she enjoyed playing with him as a caterpillar, she was a little apprehensive about the fuzzy flying guy. She was very sad, however, to see him go. He IS like a family pet ;)
On a completely different note, this is a picture of the flooding in the streets that happened as a result of several inches of ice and a warming (42*!!) that caused a couple of feet of snow that was on top of the ice to melt... Plus it dropped to 35* and was pouring rain. Not to worry; it didn't last long, as the temperatures kept dropping and a regular old snowstorm ensued...

This is a picture Chloe drew on a school worksheet -- it depicts the Passover. I just thought the little blue-eyed lamb was awfully sweet.
